About MiseryXchord
Straightedge, artist, Zen-Fatalist, insomniac, amnesiac, expatriate Bay Area punk rocker, eternally seeking decent Vegan Thai food… It all started back in 1990 with my birthday, a brand new Nikon FM2, Warren Zevon and an unscheduled performance between tour dates for the Hindu Love Gods.
I’ve been active as a professional illustrator and photographer for 20 years, working in the comic book and gaming industries on such projects as The Men In Black comic book series and the popular Vampire: The Masquerade books and card games. I’ve been specializing in music related photography since expanding my equipment to include digital gear.
I shoot everyone from unsigned to major artists of all musical genres and take special joy in photographing California’s punk and psychobilly bands… many with members I remember from back in the San Francisco Bay Area when I was growing up, the kids alongside me in the crowd now with their own bands.
